I keep thinking, I need to get to Daylesford. Thankfully Jas and Con also had that same thought, but they took it to the next level and said “we must get married in Daylesford” That is when they found The Daylesford Convent Gallery and totally fell in love with the place and decided that th wedding had to be there. And I totally agree with them.
Daylesford itself is beautiful town and the convent up on the hill is a fantastic gallery, cafe and most importantly chapel and reception centre. It was a thrill to explore it when I arrived for the day… but this it’s about a building. It’s about Jas and Con… and Charlie!
Jas and Con are New Zealanders originally, they came to Australia with their son Charlie a couple of years ago. You can see that there is a nice bond there between the three of them, Charlie is a fantastic little guy, and even though Jas isn’t his biological mother there is a true deep love that goes both ways. You can see that in the ceremony too, the way Charlie was involved, his own words being read out, presented with his own present, delivering the rings and then being the life of the party right till the end. Of course he had some competition from Jas’s step sister… she really knows how to be the centre of the dancefloor!
The whole day, in my eyes did centre around family and friends, there were tears and laughter in all the right places, hugs and kisses and a brilliant atmosphere to celebrate what is going to be a life of awesomeness for Jas and Con.
Special mentions to the Daylesford Convent Gallery again, totally well done on everything an Fiona Garrivan for a beautiful and inclusive ceremony
